Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to:

  • Have a basic understanding of innovation e.g. definition, types, best practices
  • Understand innovation as a business discipline
  • Know the relevance of innovation with regard to founding a startup and/ or working in a corporate innovation department
  • Challenge their original ideas, they applied with
  • Present their understanding of innovation and innovation project ideas

***Content description***:

In this course, students deal with the topic of innovation on an elementary level. The aim of the course is that students develop a basic understanding of innovation, present possible innovation ideas and projects they want to pursue. They will reflect on their project ideas in front of jury of experts who will challenge their elaborations in the course of discussions.

Teaching methods

The lecture combines theory and practical application. The theory includes a personal definition and understanding of innovation. The practical part consists of presenting and defending the personal reflections and innovation ideas in front of experts.
