After successful completion of the course, students are able to:
After completing this course, students will be able to identify and critically reflect on the social, ethical and societal impacts of technologies. They are familiar with different topics from all related disciplines in the field of technology and society. Students will also be able to i) work independently on projects and project proposals ii) tackle stress situations iii) present research findings and iv) handle IPR and patenting as well as product commercialization using the taught tools and strategies.
Provide a platform for the young ENROL researchers to undergo a comprehensive and stimulating PhD education, focused on translational and transferable skills for a thriving career in industry or academia, in the burgeoning areas of bioengineering and biotechnology that underpins innovative technological developments across a range of complementary disciplines:
- training in general ethics of science and technology, bioethics and issues in human/animal experimentation, and research integrity;
- academic life coaching and time and project management;
- communication skills and networking;
- IPR & patenting; commercialization;
- proposal writing.
