Subject of course

While much has been done at the constitutional level in recent years from a gender equality perspective in terms of socio-politics and gender and diversity is increasingly being implemented in companies as a future competence, we are currently still experiencing structural gender and diversity-specific disadvantages and discrimination. Gender, ethnicity, sexual identity, disability, age, religion/belief and social origin/social status continue to give rise to inequalities, discrimination, hierarchies, inclusion and exclusion mechanisms and different positions in society.
In order to understand these connections, the FVO answers the following questions and develops answers to them in a co-creative process:
- What do the terms gender and diversity actually mean, what constructions are behind them? What do we understand by intersectionality?
- Where do we encounter "Doing Gender" and why does gender affect us all - regardless of gender?
- What is the Unconscious Bias? How can we work to detect, question and avoid prejudices and stereotyping?
- How can language influence the process of creating awareness and change our thinking and acting?

Why gender and diversity affect us all: Introduction to terminology and theories
"Doing Gender", "Doing Ethnicity", etc: The reproduction of stereotypes in everyday life and the power of language
The intersectionality paradigm and the interlocking of diversity dimensions
