Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to identify relevant topics for technology assessment and take part at discussions on critical questions about the social impacts of technologies.

Subject of course

Students will learn problem definition and research design in TA as well as TA methods ; Participants will work in small groups on examples.
Course contents:
- Terminology of the technology assessment
- Technology in its social context (history of TA, objectives and role of TA, TA methods)
- Presentation of the case studies
